Free Sol - Dont Give It Away (single/mixtape links)

If you're like me and just finished watching the latest episode of Entourage, you were probably wondering what that song was at the end credit. The song is by a five piece band from Memphis who have caught my attention with Don't Give It Away. The track starts off with a crackling beat with dark pads, erie synths and a classic southern drawl rap. The song encompasses a gangster rap feel with soulful signing and ends off with some epic drums. The music supervisor responsible for Entourage (Scott Vener) let loose this track via his blog. Free Sol are new to me, I suggest we both hit up their latest free mixtape

Dont Give It Away HERE

Memphis hip-hop group FreeSol has hooked up with DJBooth.net to drop RockNRolla, a street album on which the live-band ensemble puts their spin on a variety of rock classics.
Hosted and presented by DJ Benzi, the 17-track project finds rapper Free, keyboardist Premo D’anger, drummer Kickman Teddy and vocalist/guitarist Elliot flipping memorable tracks by Smashing Pumpkins (“RockNRolla”), The Doors (“Before You Slip”), and many more.

Gerald Walker - I Remember When This All Meant Something...

Download Here cia MediaFire

Upon finding happiness Walker realized that the hardest part wasn’t finding it but rather holding on to it. In all of one week his car broke down, he was kicked out of his house, his aunt died; he was robbed at gunpoint for a MacBook and he lost close relationships with both his family and his friends.

In the midst of those happenings he grew up and 6 months later he prepared “I Remember When This All Meant Something.” The mixtape he calls an audio documentary declaring his maturity as both a man and human being; symbolizing his acceptance of how far detached from reality he was both in a spiritual and secular sense.

The 15-track mixtape features collaborations with Mr. Robotic, Bryant Stewart, Add-2 and Barron ‘Slot-A’ Bollar, who also serves as an executive producer.

Walker is best known for his debut mixtape “Evening out with Your Girlfriend,” released September 2009, which features Matt and Kim, Will.I.Am, Ayọ, and The Arctic Monkeys.

His latest mixtape is sure to serve as a turning point in both his life and his career and will make music fans everywhere remember when it all meant something.

TiRon-MSTRD

At long last, the homie TiRon just dropped his latest project, MSTRD. The tape serves as the follow up to his '09 stand out release, Ketchup. Features on MSTRD include Ayomari, Blu, and Asher Roth. On the production side of things, $port, Oddisee, DOOM, Paul McCartney & Wings (seriously), DJ Dahi, and more handle the beats. I've been bumpin' this one heavy as of late, and although it's just 10 tracks, there are no throw-aways on here - give it a listen. Follow me after the jump for the download link and tracklisting.

<a href="http://qualitycontrol.bandcamp.com/track/jfk-high-school-sweetheart">JFK - High School Sweetheart by Quality Control Marketing</a>

JFK (Grayskul, Rhymesayers. Oldominion) is proud to present the first single and video "High School Sweet Heart" from his debut album "Building Wings On the Way Down". The track was produced by none other than Seattle's finest Jake One (Freeway, Rhymesayers, 50 Cent) and tells the story of JFK’s high school crush, who, it turns out, never really was his. A story of innocence, love, loyalty and betrayal many of us can relate to, over a Jake One banger.

Beat By Rhettmatic : The Boom-Bap Collection 2.0

Rhettmatic-

“In honor of celebrating my birthday (which is today, May 10th) & the kickoff of 1st official European Tour for Crown Royale (Buff1 & Rhettmatic) in a few days, I want to share with you this little collection of songs & beats that I’ve produced.”

“A lot of people know me for being a Battle Dj / Turntablist, as a member of the Beat Junkies, or as a member and the Dj/Producer of the Visionaries… what a lot of people don’t know me for as a Producer… period, and that I have been doing production for quite sometime. I actually want to showcase some material (some Old, some Album & B-Side cuts, some Exclusives) that people might be surprised that I actually produced some songs that was outside of my usual circle; You might be pleasantly surprised to see whom I have worked with….Plus I included some material off the upcoming Crown Royale album with Buff1 & myself.
Hopefully you will enjoy the music & nod your head to this. If you enjoy it, please feel free to share it with your friends or post it up on your music blogs.
I’m just thankful to God that I can live another day to able to do what I love to do… and thank you for even peeping out the music.
God Bless You.”
